Dr. Tri Huynh attended the University of South Florida for his undergraduate studies and achieved a degree in Mathematics. He earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004.
After completing fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Largo Medical Center, affiliated with the VA Bay Pines Medical Health Systems, Dr. Huynh spent time at Vanderbilt University Medical Center learning about liver transplantation and at Tampa General Hospital studying Intestinal Manometry.
Dr. Huynh has practiced Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Florida since 2010. He is well respected by his peers and colleagues. His patients love how he treats them with the utmost care and how he is conscientious of their medical needs.
Dr. Huynh’s special interests include advanced procedures involving pancreatobiliary disorders/malignancies, Barrett’s esophagus (HALO radiofrequency ablation), and intestinal stent placement. Furthermore, he is fully committed to screening for and preventing colorectal cancer.
In addition to numerous other professional honors and distinctions, Dr. Huynh has been elected a fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (FASGE) and the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG).
Dr. Huynh is fellowship-trained in gastrointestinal procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), HALO radiofrequency ablation for Barrett’s esophagus, colonoscopy, small bowel enteroscopy, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), capsule endoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), esophageal manometry, esophageal pH testing (Bravo Study), hemorrhoidal banding, and breath testing.
